I have try to install optional 25 tooth with stock 44 spur gear and the motor side robe on battery box too tight impossible to install.

To answer your first question you can definately gear it up by using a larger pinion. However it will put more load on the motor and the batteries. So if you do gear up with a larger pinion keep an eye on the temperatures of the motor and the batteries.

HPI really need to issue a new manual indicating how to correctly regear the flux... Nothing special: larger pinion = more load and more heat...

That are good temps!
