Question on wheel/tires for 8t On-Road - 05.09.2009, 11:08 AM

I just bought a 8t with a BL conversion by Losi a few weeks ago on flea-bay and I was going to buy some 4's-6's Lipo Zippys and a MMM. I got two sets of tires with the truggy that are in darn good condition. I kinda wanted to show off a little after completion at work in the mornings as I spend most of my life at work. Its all paved parking lots at work so I was thinking of getting some shopping done at tower hobbies with my $25 off $50 or more coupon since I have been neglecting there business for a while. I was wondering if one of you gentlemen would mind looking on there website and tell me the suited tires for my On-road speed demos at work in the mornings. Just something that is not going to burn up in two runs and that still has some traction. Maybe something mounted so they are balanced nicely. I have seen some nice options for buggies but truggies I am kinda lost for road applications.

I know this is not ideal conditions for this rig but heading to our track that is 40 min away is not an option to often. Plus I am in sales and a boost of excitement in the morning before work always helps. Thanks guys

The hpi phaltlines are good for on road. I would recommend gluing them yourself as the factory glue job is not great (get wheels/tires seperate). You should still balance the tires, even pre-glued ones will not be balanced.

Phaltlines are about the best on-road option available, as long as you buy them seperately. Then tape the tires and glue them yourselves.

Are you talking about taping the insides to limit ballooning?? What kind of tape is best, like duct tape. And to I only do one pass on the inside to keep uniformity??
