List your Jammin CRT Combos

I was just reading through the forums about at all of the CRT conversions out there. It seems that there are quite a few, so I though the I would start this thread as a centralized database for all of our combos.

Please post as much as you can think of about your current combo and combos that you have tried (successes and failures). Include your ESC, Battery, Motor, Spur, Pinion, Tires, Pics, ect.

Mamba Monster V3

Runtime: Track ~20 min

Temps: I haven't bothered because everything feels like it is less that 100 degrees

Other things that I have tried:

13t pinion. I felt like I never got a good mesh with this pinion. It would always clack when I used the brakes. It seems that pinions with higher tooth counts mesh better. I would really like to try a 16 tooth pinion with this combo. I've found that with higher tooth counts I tend to get better acceleration because the torque does not hit the wheels so hard causing spin (thus less acceleration). I will say that if unlimited traction were available, lower gearing would produce faster acceleration, but in the real world where I can spin my tires at will even on pavement, higher gearing gives me better acceleration.

I also was using a Hobby City 9xl until it froze up. I was happy with this motor, the temps stayed low, and the power was good. I would use one again, but I think it is better for the long run to just go with the CC motor and forget about it.

No idea how long runtime is. I've never timed a full pack.

My temps are pretty low after over 10 mins of running hard on a track. I didn't check them with my temp gun, but I could hold my hand on any component as long as I wanted without issue.

I have both a 14T and 15T pinion to try out on it, but the 13T did very well on the track for the most part. I'll have to see if I can snap some pics of it this weekend if I get the chance.

14 t pinion cannot go any smaller without changing spur is way to fast but will have to cope till i can do ring and pinion conversion
just changed from 62 spur as it was forcing me to be too front heavy in the jumps due to mounting options was wondering how big greg runs a 10t pinion on a 46 spur due to rear center brace hitting motor?
