As long as the lipo can keep up with the current draw of the motor, then you will be fine. It does not matter how much power the battery can produce, the motor will draw what it needs, regardless. If the batts are not powerful enough they will get hot and puff. Why does the MMM not like them?

Your batteries are not going to be an issue for the RX8. As long as they're good packs you're fine.

Hard to say why your V3 stopped. Assuming your packs are in good order you should be just fine. We tested up to 40c packs on the Rx8.

What brand are the batteries that are giving problems? I don't think you can have a problem with too much battery, but the MMM does not like the low output ones.
