i know a few people who have MGM's. most of them say they are the most reliable of the very high HV controllers for cars although they can be somewhat difficult to program and customer service from what i understand in not in the US.

If you plan on using the full 10s capability, I would use mechanical brakes to eliminate the braking spikes associated with electric brakes. Or use a bunch of caps and TVS devices.

I had only planned on running 8S. I only run 50% brake on my MMM now plus my EPA is turned down on my transmitter as well. I don't use brakes very much and usually not enough to lock the tires up. Kills my lap times.

Difficult programmimng, over seas cutomer service and a 375.00 price tag ?

If MGM has all the issues fixed, then the controller is good. I sold all but one due to a strange situation with a 2.4G radio. You could try a Kontronik Jive 80HV or 120 HV. Get both program cards for full features and the 120 HV's price is up there. It only has one car mode I believe, so it'll be good for racing.

I have a couple MGM's, with the latest firmware they work great.

I have the 90A version of that in my savage on 8S on e-brakes. Not a bad controller at all, but not as refined as castle's. PC programming is easy, tx prog. is ok once you learn their logic (they make it too complicated.) Fairly smooth, but startups not as good as castle's.
Overall a solid controller tho. They had the best HV controllers at one point, but have not progressed much tho.
