Would this be a suitable crawler tranny? - 05.01.2009, 11:47 PM

I found this ancient losi stadium truck in one of my junk boxes today. I pulled the tranny and it looks like it could be used for a crawler. What do you think?

Yeah go for it. It looks like a Rustler/Pede tranny which is what a lot of custom rigs use.

It looks a little big, and I can't really tell how wide the gears are but at least they are metal. Definately worth a shot, I bet it holds up alright.

Before kits came out, crawling was all about what you had around to build a crawler. Real crawlers are the same way. I think that tranny would work fine. At least it would be a different flavor to offset all the pede tranny crawlers out there.
