Direct drive with Tekno rc conversion -

Hi,
I'm thinking of converting my 3.3 revo chassis (currently running an os v.spec) to brushless with the tekno rc conversion. I won't be using the electri clutch (I'm only bashing) and want to skip mechanical brakes so I'm wondering if anyone used a direct drive setup on their tekno conversion.
On my truggy the direct drive is working great, but with the revo's slipper clutch I'm wondering if it still will have enough braking power.
Direct drive is a term usually described when using outrunners. They are "direct drive to diff" I don't know if the tekno conversion is usable without the clutch, but most other conversions/mounts like the rcm mount use no clutch.

I'm not certain, but I think you can use their long shank pinions to eliminate the clutch system.
But unless you lock up the tranny in 2nd gear, you'll have no brakes that way if you do away with the mechanical brakes.
My revo was a converted 2.5. I used the RC-M motor mount. I also removed first gear and JB welded the 2nd gear to the output shaft to eliminate the clutch effect and lock the tranny in second gear. This allowed me to ditch the mechanical brakes as well. This setup worked great for me and held up to both mmm 2650 and mmm 2200 combos.
