why does my mmm v1 do this? - 05.26.2009, 08:48 PM

so you know how when you turn on the esc, the motor beeps some sorta ring tone, then it beeps 4 times (i run 4s lipos) then it does that ring tone again right.
but sometimes, it would just do that ring tone, beep 4 times, and thats it. the esc red/green/yellow lights are flashing.
there is no reaction when i throttle the radio or the steering.

this happened before, where i would just unplug the lipos and plug it back it, and then it would work fine like nothing ever happened.
after like 6 months, it did it again. but this time, after unplugging/plugging the lipos, it still wouldnt work.
but after i got home, i tried it one more time, and it worked like a charm! and again, the mmm works fine for 4 months.
and it happened again today for the THIRD time....it worked once i got home again. what the heck is going on???? i seriously unplugged the lipos like 20 times at the bash site. and even tried it one more time driving home...i pulled over just to try it.
but once i got home, i plugged it in again, and it works!
anyone know the deal with this?

I had trouble with mine arming if the deadband setting was too low. try setting to a mid range setting. May also check that the throttle trim hasn't changed. If all else fails, recalibrate esc to radio.

Sounds like a malfunction of the LVC circuitry, have you updated to the newest firmware? if you did I would guess there's a bad solder joint somewhere inside.

If you are running 2.4ghz it could be the RX not binding quickly enough or at all.
