Slipperential Slipper Pads - 06.25.2009, 04:24 AM

Hello! I just received my slipperential in the mail today and started assembling it but I have found that 1 out of the 3 slipper pads is too large to fit into the allotted space on the spur. It's fine if I grind/sand it down to fit, right?

Thanks!

Also, amazing little piece of machinery, seems like you did a great job on it so far.

The 1 piece still won't fit, it's a good 1.5mm wider on one end than the other.

Also make sure there isn't any slag left in the spur from the hardening process. There was some in mine and the slipper pad wouldn't sit flat in the gear. This causes it to wobble.
