wtb: brushed esc or do you know where to get one - 07.07.2009, 07:25 PM

Anybody have an older brushed esc they would be willing to let go of cheap or trade for something.

Deal is I was approched by a fellow about rcs a while back when I was out bashing. He had a few older rcs that he would like to atleast get one going out of. I told him I would help out. Got one going not sure it almost looks like the xl-1 ruslter style but has camber links like a AE or losi. Anyway he doesn't have much money. So with the stock pile of parts I have laying around he got it running. I gave him a Duratrax intellisprint ESC I had. When I put it together I didn't put the rubber insulater between the heat sinks and think that it may be the reason it no longer works for him. It worked fine for the couple of pack I saw him run it on. But he brought it back the other day with limited power in one direction and no power in the other. So could of over heated it or had some binding going on. He still learning but know a little bit about the hobby. I was going to set him up with an old xl-1 or xl-5 I had but I must have with thrown then in with one of my old auctions cuz I can't find them. I'm not looking for anything special. He was grinning ear to ear just to have his rc rolling last time. I gave him a duratrax intellipeak charger and the nihms I had listed in the pif thread, but I am drawing the line at my brushless setups until he has the money to pay for one. :)

Even if anyone has a link to an inexpensive brushed esc they would recommend for a 6-7cell nihm. All he has for the moment it the traxxas stinger motor. All my brushed motors were burnt and useless.

Thanks for the help guys.
