Can a "Stampede Super Chassis" conversion be used to convert a Rustler

Just wondering if anyone has used the Stampede Super Chassis Conversion Kit to "hop up" their Rustler. I already ordered it so I hope it works out. They REALLY NEED to make a COMPLETE RUSTLER CONVERSION KIT .... not just a Stampede version. The price difference is why I'm pressing my luck with the "wrong" conversion kit. OH, this is an electric Rustler. NOT A NITRO. Thanks for your input.

rusty's and pedes share a lot of the same parts but i dont know how it will work out but im pretty sure you can make it work.

You turn the Rustler into a 'Pede by adding the 'Pede chassis, since the servo mounting changes, and chassis braces are needed.

Is the Chassis Brace kit an absolute necessity ? or just for show ?

The chassis braces do just what they are called - they give (necessary) support to the chassis.

I would say they are necessary (whether you go with stock plastic braces or the FLM braces). Without them you only have two screws on each end holding things together.

I guess I planned on getting them anyway, as well as the tranny case and diff assembly.

I'm just hoping I don't get stuck with a modification problem due to the servo mounting position changing. Guess I will find out soon enough. We have one local hobby shop here and it sucks. It's all model trains and rockets and the such. Might have to go to Home Depot for "mod" parts, ahaha. sad.

The servo shouldnt be a problem. I had a Hitec 645 in my Pede that I took out to put in my Rusty.

Did you buy the FLM arms also? If so and you didn't have an extended front conversion done before, you'll end up needing longer steering turnbuckles and camber links. I used a pair of Lunsford Punisher 2 1/2" turmbuckles with long Traxxas rod ends from a # 1942 set of ends for camber and I'm planning on trying out 96mm turnbuckles from a non-widemaxx E-maxx for steering. I just need my new servo saver in before I can verify they'll fit. The rear will be the standard camber links, unless you bought the extended length arms.

-Your Choice of Arms. You can stick with the stock arms or go with the wider arms for a wider stance to improve handling.

I have the whole chassis kit too. FYI, it does not come with turnbuckles unless you purchase the extended length arms. The front regular length FLM A-Arms are wider than a standard stampede A-Arm, so you will need new turnbuckles for the front camber and steering. I hope to have some pics of mine up tomorrow or Sunday if I can get it rolling. And then hopefully next weekend, it'll be ready to run since Mike got in the BK controllers. And get ready...once you see the plastic tranny on the aluminum chassis, you'll be reaching for your wallet to break out the CC and order the FLM tranny case and the steel diff gear Mike offers.

I just e-mailed Mike about it. Either the description is wrong, or they got left out of my kit.
