Find a Skate Park Near You! - 08.04.2009, 03:17 AM

Not for skating of course, but for bashing!

I recently found a website called http://shredordie.com that has a listing, with google maps, of every skate park imaginable. from small to big, public or paid entrance, big or small. I used it and found 5 outdoor public parks within a half hour driving distance from my house!

Just go to this link: http://www.shredordie.com/find/skateparks
then type in your town and state and Go. I would then open bing.com seperatley, put the address in there, and go to bird's eye view for a nice close up, better than what google can offer.
An outdoor public park would be ideal. you could call or go to indoor parks(which cost money for entrance fee) and ask who's in charge if you could run your electric car there, but chances are itll be a no.

I hope everybody finds an awesome bash spot to run their trucks in!

Skaters hate RCs though, last time I was there they tried to start a fight with a buddy of mine. If there's nobody there it's great, but there are people that pretty much live at the park.

All I ever wanted was an honest weeks pay for an honest days work.

Same with my skate park. People take the 15-20 minutes to sit down and watch the show around me. I have never had any problems

Did you know?

The skaters are usually the punks. I bike, either riding my 20 inch, or my 26 sometimes. And they always get pissed off were in the public park to ride. I wouldnt even wanna try rc LOL

Yea the skaters are not too fond of rc's. Many local skate parks are busy with classes for young skaters though.

Fortunatley for where I live, the weather has been 90 degrees and humid for the past couple weeks, and continues to be like that. Anybody who wants to do something as physical as skateboarding won't be doing so for long. And maxair45, thats the indoor parks. the ones built by your township, or townships around you would be free, outdoor, and public. theyre usually called [townname] park or something and they are still on the same site

Yea all the indoor serious parks are too busy so they go to the local outdoor public parks and host classes. I think it'd be too costly to host classes in a indoor park because its a pay to skate(another reason to go to a public park, to keep the cost down..always a plus).

hell yea its supposed to feel like a 106 here in arkansas today (98* actual), and actaully most guys at the skateparks shouldnt care if you ramp your r/c just dont do it while they are skating wait till they all take a break or something and then do it, i bring one wiht me every now and then but i go to the skatepark to skate like i have for the last 8 years....

but hey if you try to ride a bike at one of our skateparks then the chit will hit the fan and there will be problems..... i enjoy bmx but only on dirt jumps, nobody wants there skate parks torn up from bikes.... in little rock they had their own indoor BIKE park and we had our own indoor skate park.

Ditto here in Fl. The air is so thick you could cut it.

I retired from RC, now life is all about guns and long range shooting.

Haha, If you own a 1/8 or bigger then I'd be testing the durability of punk skater versus (insert rc model of choice) & I'm betting RC at 40mph wins!

There's an idea...I hit myself with my Baja at ~10 MPH once and it made a nasty cut in my leg. Hit one of those little punks at 40 and you'll take their leg off!

take the skateboard right out from underneath em!

or here's another idea... take the wing of of ur buggy, tape a skateboard to the top of it, and just have the skateboard jump the ramps with no rider. r/c skateboard!
