Plastic Spur for xray xb8 / 808?

Hi guys,

I am just converting an xray xb8 ec to brushless. Bought it used off ebay. Had my first functional test on the workbench today and revving it up sounded horrible! Having a closer look at the spur it showed excessive wear on the teeth. Now I need a new spur and would like to switch to plastic right away. Would the Kyosho spur fit? Anything else? Has any of you done that move before? If so, please share your thougts and experiences!

PS: This is my first post on this great forum. In the past weeks I learned so much from you by reading your posts. This will be the first brushless buggy at our local track so I want to get everything as sorted out as possible right from the start. The xray looks very promising, especially with Mike`s mount in it.
