T8 fill the gap at the solderposts? - 09.24.2010, 07:52 AM

Hi guys,

I recieved a 1900kv T8 for my buggy this week. I saw there's a gap at the solderposts and I'm a bit worried about it. Should I close the gap with something? We race on astroturf and there's a bit sand on it (beachsand) to make the grip less. I'm worried about the sand getting into the motor and do damage to the motor/rotor/bearings.

I closed this and also the Gap at the RX8's Heatsink with PlastiDip.
When driving in the dirt i think this is essential because the Gap in the Motor leads directly to the Rotor.
Also Sand in the ESC could damage the protective lacquer on the board I think...

I closed everything with PlastiDip, so there's no way for the Dirt to get in.
