Go by your local hardware store or metal shop that sells pieces cut to fit per customer request... Sometimes they'll just giveaway scrap or sell it way cheap compared... Plus you might find extra pieces that might inspire you to make sumpin else or change your existing setup...

So that's what all the fuss was about...

Hardware store is crap, get some 6061 at least. Look on ebay or try online metals, they will cut any length you want.

I usually get my angle stuff from onlinemetals.com. I had some extra 3.5mm thick angle stock left over from various projects, but can't seem to find what I did with it. If I happen to locate it, I'll let you know.

Phil - if you strike out on any of those, I can get you a piece of 6061 - just send me some shipping money. Not sure if I have any .125" thick though. What leg length are you needing?

1/8th inch flexes way too much for big BL motors- been there done that.. might want to look into 1/4in or maybe 4-5mm
