eracingpro shafts

hi all...as i keep bending my mip shafts on me maxx, has anyone here had a chance to try out these drive shafts as i think its time to change and these look like they could be quite strong, ta all...

only read about them as far as maxx goes and seen them on nitro savage where they lasted about 10 minutes -> JUNK 1st class.

get plastic revo style shafts. they can handle lot of power and punishment. did have lot of different metal CVDs in my maxx but had problems with all of them. the more flexible arms (like RPM) you have, the more issues with metal CVDs you will have.

hi wallot...yes this is what happens to my truck, i have the proline wide kit on mine, the arms are nice and flexible, so i allways end up with a bent shaft. i trust the revo shafts are a straight swap- no mods? do you run brushless? and how much does your maxx weigh? thanks...
and would this be the e revo or the new brushless??

Drop your suspension a bit so the dog bone ends don't pop out of the cups.

For revo style style shafts you need 3.3 spec axle carriers (revo style). U can get them cheap on ebay.

I no longer have my maxx as I sold it to a friend.

My maxx used to be almost 6kg RTR :) with Neu 1512 and 16cell nimh. With 5S Lipo bit lighter.

hi all...ye, but the shaft dont fall out of the cup, even after its bent. and its not too far in either pin is half way up the cup slot.
its when i tumble over front to rear, then hit outside of rim against the ground the arms give but the shaft cant so it just bends.

so why do i need to fit revo axle carriers to use these shafts? or do you mean the hubs, due to the lager inner bearing?

as traxxas call what i call an inner diff casing they call an axle carrier? but they also call the hubs axle carriers too so im confused by it all...
i trust u mean i need part 4334 for a 3905? yes i know these will have to be changed (i need new ones anyway)

Axle carrier, or steering knuckle, whatever you wanna call it, yeah: clicky

You will also require the 3905/ t-maxx 3.3 spec turnbuckles to use those knuckles and the new style drive shafts. Since they are telecsoping plastic shafts, they are both durable yet flexible, and no chance of bending due to being squeezed length ways- rare you ever see them damaged, mainly the universal joint wears aout and stretches over time.. a fairly long time at that.

Aren't we forgetting he'll need to change over to all Widemaxx A arms too?

This is why I haven't done mine, not spending $100+ for a quarter pound of plastic and buckles and bearings.

If you do decide to go this route then the Summit drives would make it more worthwhile.

hi redshift...ahh i have the proline wide kit on my maxx, £60.00 when i bought it all those years ago (i think they discontinued it now) .
i got arms, shock towers and ti turnbukles (they've never bent or broken) despite the abuse in fact, neither have the arms or towers in 5 years of abuse.
so all i need is the hubs, bearings and shafts hmmmmmm alot to buy just to try a shaft, has anybody used these shafts with a mm combo?

would be soo sweet if they do last with brushless power as it would save alot of weight > 10 lb truck i will have,
