Micro t a fun little truck? How fast is it stock? And how is the off-road version of it?

I had the Micro DT. The losi Micros aren't fast by any means, at least not in stock form. I never did any upgrades, never broke anything either though. Stock I would estimate it to be about 7MPH....MAYBE. As far as an off road version, which one are you talking about? There all off road vehicle in the sense that they are a stadium truck, baja beetle, desert truck, the high roller, and even the crawler. However that doesn't mean they are capable of going on anything other than a smooth surface. My DT got hung up on an extension cord. My biggest complaint and the reason I got rid of it was the cost of upgrades. To upgrade to brushless you have to replace the servo and rx plus buy the esc and motor, by the time you do that you have put more into it than what it cost originally. If you want something small thats fun to play with get yourself a 1/18th scale, the RC18T is great, much faster in stock form than an upgraded micro plus its 4WD. Throw on an RPM front bumper and I'd be surprised if you ever break anything!

My first RC was a Micro-T. It was fun at the start, fun to hop up and go brushless, all alloy, etc and see this tiny little thing scream at 25-30mph. But in the end I dropped hundreds of dollars on a tiny little vehicle ($25 oil shocks at that scale? yep) that flipped over on the littlest pebble and spun out constantly. It was too limited for how much I put into it.

If I were to have one again I'd get a lipo (HC has 'em for cheap, at least they did) and probably the brushless setup (also need upgraded receiver to use ESC and standard 3-wire servo), but all the alloy is pretty much useless at that scale IMO. Plastic parts are dirt cheap for it, and alloy is exactly the opposite. It's great for bombing around the house or driveway. Even the stock setup for $80 would be fun, as long as you think of it as a novelty, and not a main vehicle to focus a lot of time and money on. Just my 2 cents.

I agree with E-Revonut that if you want a little vehicle to fill the time in between your other ones, go for a 1/18th or 1/16th. (I actually went to the Mini-T after the Micro-T, and did the same pattern exactly before learning my lesson, only full size for me from now on!)

but going slow on bumpy carpet in the garage is the best fun IMO

+1. I bought a DT a little over a year ago and then got the bearing set, Stub axles (because E-clips suck), and Lipo battery. It is a lot of fun and any faster in a living room is just asking for it to flip. With the lipo it will wheelie on carpet easily. I travel a lot took it with me for a few months, but I am bored with it now.

Lol, that does it for me, I want one. I have this addiction to wanting to buy new rc-stuff and new vehicles, and my wife hates me spending much money on them. I like how the micro-t is relatively cheap, and I've seen some aftermarket brushed motors for them that claim a decent speed increase, anyone know of a brushed motor that's good for it? And, as to getting a 16'th scale, I already have a bl mini revo, which I love! Too big and powerful to run in the house though, and when I talked about the off-road version, I was meaning the high-roller. Will it not go over an extension cord either lol?
