Just painted a body for MY E-Revo :) - 12.22.2009, 03:51 PM

Ahhh, finally a body for me and not for a customer. :D

Colors used:

fasblack
faswhite
custom mixed blue (parma)
darkened fascent purple (parma)
Spaztiz mirror chrome
Proline slipstream body
and, a LOT of time LOL

It came out great! There are a few imperfections, but you really can't notice them. :D Everything was hand cut with liquid mask, no vinyl (aside from the included window masks). The only decals are the grill and the lights that's it. :) Not bad for my fist shot at painting lightning/electricity. The pictures do it no justice, it really pops in person!

I will spank a nitro any day...guaranteed. :)

I can't wait to finish building my E-Revo. I really want to enter it into the R/C magazine photo competitions.

I love painting bodies, but I haven't done one for my self in a while. Nice way to dress my project up.

ROFL I have no idea. My guess is 25+ Shoot, there was probably 10 hours in just thinking of what I wanted to do. I just did a little bit every day. When I paint bodies for customers, I do my best to have it done in 1-2 weeks. I dragged this one out over 6 weeks. I even painted the mirrors chrome.

I hate nicely painted bodies on my trucks..
Makes me drive the trucks way too slow so I don't crash, and ruin the nice bodies.
Then I get bored.
But holy jeez, this is a nice body. Major props.

It's a work in progress. Fully modded E-Revo. Should be done in the spring.

@Rawfuls I feel the same way about good looking car bodies, but hey, I like painting them. I only give them "special treatment" until I flip it the first time. After that I treat it like a beater.
