NOVAK HV 4.5 Motor shaft seperated - 01.15.2010, 01:36 PM

Does anyone know what sort of glue or epoxy i can use to put the magnet back on the shaft in my HV4.5? not sure why it came appart as i never got a temp reading above 120? anyway, would JB Wled work?

Thanks for any advice you might have.

Red loctite, the high-temp version would be best I believe.

Red Locktite is a little weak in this application. Use sleeve retaining compound you can pick it up at the autoparts store.

Nah, just make sure its not too far forward or back like you say, and make sure you let it dry fully before using it again- keep the magnets away from anything metalic too...

Loctite 603, 638, 648, green magic drops. that's what we use to glue flex shaft into hard steel propeller shaft, unbelieveable strenth and shock resistance. It works only for tight matching metal parts, ideal for motor shafts.

Sorry i didn't see this sooner, i used JB weld to put a bonded rotor back on a shaft in a hv 4400 motor as well as a 1200XL basic lehner. No longer have the hv but the 1200 still runs fine after two years

Work because i gotta, play because i wanna

People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise
