Quick Li-Po charging question - 01.10.2010, 11:32 PM

I'm new to Li-Po and am doing my 1st charge. What should the voltage be during charging? It's been 20 minutes and the charger shows 7.97V.
Charger is a Turnigy Accucell-6 with a RadioShack 15amp power supply. Battery is Flightmax 5200. 30c 2 cell.

It will finish at about 8.4V, 4.2V/cell If your charging at 1C, 5.2amps for a 5200mah pack, it should take about 1 hr from a pack that has been run to the low voltage cutoff

the voltage can be anywhere between 6v and 8.4v. you have the same charger as me and as long as you are charging the battery in lipo mode and keep the balance wires plugged into the charger, it's fool proof.

They say a good mechanic only needs 2 tools - WD40 & Duct tape. If it moves, and its not supposed to, duct tape. If it doesn't move, and its supposed to, WD40.

I'm charging at .5c 2.6amp. Looks like I'm at 8.35v at 45 minutes and 2000mah. If it doesn't shut down at 8.4 do I manually do it if it goes any higher?

If the charger is designed for lipo's, it will shut off before it overcharges the lipo

Thanks for the quick help.
