MRC is back!!! - 03.02.2010, 05:22 AM

So after buying a new little Micro Losi Crawler I was compelled to buy another MRC due to the micro lack of capability. I could not help but reminiscent about my old mrc when I originally got it. It was so much fun. Plus I always wanted to get one all hooked up. Unfortunately when I went tuber on her I lost interest. Long story short I sold that one a long time ago and now the hunt was on....

Flas forward to this week, I searched for a few months and finally found this one.

FXR ESC
HOLMES TORQUE MASTER MOTOR
ALUMINUM HEXES
CVDS
DARKSOUL CHASSIS KIT WITH LINKS AND 1/10 SERVO MOUNT
DARKSOUL WEIGHTED WHEELS
4 LINKED FRONT AND REAR
PROLINE MINI CHISEL TIRES
METAL LOCKERS F/R
BLUE LOSI BENT LINKS (NOT INSTALLED YET)
JR 650M 1/10 SERVO
2 NICE 2s LIPOS
LOSI ALUMINUM THREADED SHOCKS
ALUMINUM REAR LOCKOUTS (NOT INSTALLED YET)
ALUMINUM HUBS
ALUMINUM SPINDLES

Best of all practically new with hardly a scratch ONLY CRAWLED INSIDE A FEW TIMES!! I installed a speky sr3500 and newly painted bronko body from losi and here we have it. BTW it crawls AMAZING!!!!

First improvement is the links in the front steering are going to be converted to lunsford titanium links for a cleaner look, and rear steer is being installed. Yea!!

Here are some photos...

together with Xray XT8"thumbsup"

Deserted and needing wheels/tires desperately.

These are the coolest set of wheel and tires....2.2 steelies from RC4WD, the ones that scratch and rust. stretched over them arestickt 1.9 G8 Flat-irons. The the truck so friggin tall with these wheels with this mod.

The wheels hubs needed to be ground down in the rear due to the hubs rubbing, I ground down with the dremmel and all is good:mrgreen:

Wheels and tires that are being changed...size comparison

Steelies are nice - the flat irons look great for a scale look but the rovers kick their but for performance.

LMK if you are interested in OTA'ing the steering I have some 4mm steel rod.

I was checking yours out actually and had some all-thread rod ready to rock. I think that would be a great improvement, I just havent had the time....the steering throw is great but the position is the one improvement this rig needs.
