Weighty issue - 03.02.2010, 02:01 PM

A look into the absurd...

"In a world-first, McDonald's has signed a deal with Weight Watchers to promote some of its meals, such as Chicken McNuggets, as ideal for dieters.

Three meals marked with the Weight Watchers logo will go on sale in New Zealand today and are expected in Australian outlets later this year, as part of a six-year push by the fast-food giant to change its image..."

lol, the only thing on the McD's menu which is good for dieters is their bottled water, and sliced apples.

What a joke.

If you eat at McDonald's to lose weight, you need your head examined, no matter what they say about their food.

Macca's as it's called in Australia has made several agressive pushes to expand it's customer base

Last week my daughter brought home from school a merit certificate from her religious studies class that had tear off discount coupons - every kid received a merit certificate!

I utterly despise the coercive JV thinking (whatever the cause or interest) behind that little gem

Dunno, I've been dieting purely by cutting calories. Sure I've leaned towards healthier options, but when on the road I've grabbed mcdonalds or wendy's chicken nuggets as a meal. Nutritional? No, but low in cals. And I'm down 50lbs since November 17th.

Would I do it every night? Not a chance. But by a purely calorie counting stance, you can lose weight and eat chicken nuggets. Wendys are a lot better, though.
