New Emaxx- Project - 11.01.2007, 07:54 PM

Any one have plans for the new EMAXX.? I have ordered one from tower .
I am afraid I may just take it all apart & convert it into some type of Supermaxx. I have been slowly getting UE parts for awhile now and have a 11020 Holiday special from Mike last Xmas,. have a fiego also. & VBS Racex all parts., spyder 8. Plan to run Mikes Apachee 5s

Will have to figure what parts will fit Emaxx New model

I plan on buying one ASAP.

I want to see how much punishment this new drive line can really take.

Work because i gotta, play because i wanna

People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise

I don't think I will buy the whole truck. But I did price out the transmission which is about $87 with all the needed screws, bearings, and single motor plate. It's kind of expensive but should work nice for the brushless Aftershock I have planned.

Where did you order your tranny parts from?

I didn't know anyone had them in stock yet.

i put a deposit down at my LHS for the new emaxx (1st in line) and i'm keeping it completely stock - except i'll be dropping in my Lehner/MM and will run it on 5s a123 packs. i'll soon find out just how much abuse it'll take in stock form...

i also plan to build an E-LST2 with the new maxx tranny too.

Xray XT8 (Neu powered) MMM on 5s
MD 500 scale heli - castle HV-45 on 3s
Eflite Blade 400 heli on 3s

There are a few places. I was pricing the parts at Horizon Hobby. They are listed and will be put on backorder. So you will still have to wait. Some parts are in stock like the screws and bearings.

The Racer-X suspension & VBS will work fine with the new chassis, since it was designed to mate with existing Emaxx bulks & skids (same bolt pattern). That will make for a killer combo Im sure, and the new steering system is similar to the Gen 4 setup, only made of plastic like the Proline kit, but much beefier.

Have you seen the new motor plate Traxxas has for brushless motors? It's slick... a single motor mount with gear cover.

Yeah, thats whats got alot of guys so hyped up, me included. A single big BL motor on that tranny with a centrally mounted motor would be RC nivarna, but apparently the mounting pattern is slightly different, so it wont bolt onto a stock Emaxx or Gmaxx without a little bit of imagination.... good job this is RCM = no problemo!
