Supermaxx shocks

Anybody know if the stuff they have at the UE site is still available?

Would love a set of Supermaxx shocks for my E-maxx, but they don't accept creditcards from outside US, so thought if they are available maybe Mike could get them for me.

Yep... they really made a big difference when i swapped out my traxxas big bores for these... the truck 'feels' a lot more stable going over the bumpy stuff... and with the added travel, jumps are a little easier to land...

"Supermaxx" shocks are ofna shocks. Robin (UE) just called them "supermaxx" and charged a buttload of money for them.

Do yourself a favor and just buy some front ofna buggy shocks (fronts are the correct length) They are the same thing and much cheaper.

You can tell people they are real "supermaxx" shocks, Robin did.

Also, "super 6" and "super 8" diffs are just renamed ofna diffs. Pretty shady, huh?

Just tried one of the front shocks from my MBX6-T, and they fit perfect.

They are a bit longer, but still fits fine.

So I think I will get 4 of those in stead.

Actually the UE shocks are a certain length for the ue suspensions. Some front ofna buggy shock are not the right length. There are some that are pretty close though. As far as super 6 and super 8 diffs they are definatly ofna but how are you going to install them without the ultralite diff cases or vbs setups. He was the first to do extensive r&d and machine work to develop alot of awesome parts for the maxx people. Oh yea dont forget the flm hybrids also that came over 5 years after the ultralite and vbs. Its not really shady if you ask me,nothing wrong with him making some money on his r&d and innovative designs that allowed us to put the power to our maxxes without breaking all the time. UE has been around since the begining and they still sell some hard to find parts when alot of others are long gone.

First off, Supershocks are a different size than any stock Ofna shock...Second, they have TiNi shock shafts which no stock Ofna shock has...Third, Robin was in contact with Ofna about everything that he used Ofna parts on or based off of an Ofna Design. In fact, Robin took the Ofna 3-shoe clutch, redesigned it into a 4-shoe clutch, then gave the rights to Ofna, and now they produce and sell the 4-shoe clutch that Robin designed.

Also, the 6-Spider and 8-Spider diffs are not "simply" Ofna diffs...they have been modified for use in UE designs, and are not the same as a stock Ofna diff you buy anywhere else. Sure, they are based on Ofna diffs, and use Ofna parts, but they also use UE parts, and again, Robin had permission from Ofna to do all of this.

Robin saw no need to redesign the wheel, when he could, he used existing parts and or modified existing parts to work how he wanted or needed them to, with permission.

I am pretty sure I have a set of ofna shocks with non ti coated shafts the same length as a set of super shocks.There were only a few older ofna buggies that had the right length for use on a maxx. I think they are old ofna lx front shock which hasn't been made for a while now. The only different between the diffs is the output cups and the UL case. I have a set of UE and ofna buggy diffs sitting here apart and all the other parts are identicle and will interchange.
