My New Pics and of Crowd Pleazer Body - 03.10.2005, 01:09 PM

HI All,

Here's some new pics to share. Being I extended my chassis I found a cool body for it. It's for a monster gt. It fits pretty good. I had to make aluminum bumper bracket that extends and drops the bumper some. I also didn't want to see the antenna through the body so I drill a hole through the back windows and stuck it out their.

I'm also using 4 UE shocks which are great!

Here ya go..

Wow! the paint is so thin on that body I didn't detect any color! LOL. I am interested in how that will look with a little color. I have seen afew folks using the MGT/TNX bodies on their extended maxx trucks. Seems like a good fit.

I've been eyeballing this body as well. I'd also like to see Traxxas release an unpainted/untrimmed Stadium Maxx body.

I guess quite a few people has been looking at this body. I too am guilty. What is the wheelbase of the body? I am thinking of probably going with this body with the new proline 23mm 40 series wabash wheels and bow ties.

Mike, what is the wheelbase of an extended GMaxx?

Before I put the Humvee body on, I actually considered fitting Tamiya's VW Paris-Dakar Touareg rally car body, but it was just a bit too short. Would've looked funny.

I like the fastback styling of the stadium trucks, though.

Personally, I think one of you guys with the fully tricked out Brushless GorillaMaxx rigs should make a custom teardrop shaped body to minimize drag and then see what kind of a speed run you can make!

The wheelbase for the extended g-maxx is about 13 5/8". If you have the g-3 suspension in the long wheelbase configuration, the wheelbase becomes about 14 1/8" or so.

My wheelbase is 14". The body wheelbase is almost that, maybe 1/4" off. I think trucks looks goofy when you have an extend chassis and a wheelbase on the body that's 2" shorter. But that's just my opinion. That's why I went with a longer wheelbase body.

It will be metallic green with sticker flames......Yeah, I should paint them but I don't think I can pull it off....

I just wanted something different, I'm really not a truck fan, and everyone else had a truck so I decided on this one.

I'll paint it when the weathers better
