hello everyone just wondering if this is a lost cause or not. should i even try to fix this? the small coil is burned on the right side. it looks like a major pita to get that half of the boards out of the amp. basicly i have had this thing forever, and really have got what i paid for and then some. just cant let go of it cause it worked so damn good the last ten years or so. or did....
anyway enjoy the pics.

If it is just the coil, then it's highly fixable. The question is, do you have the time to put into fixing it? It looks like the coils are glued in. Obviously soldered on the other side, and would likely require a powerful iron to remove. Then there is parts availability- or you could rewind the core (probably easier than trying to find a replacement).
thats where im stuck. its the left pic right edge of the pcb about halfway up. wondering if your right about finding the part too, its pretty old. damn!
Oh. I was looking at the other pic...with the big coils.
In that case, see if you can figure out the ratio of the coil. If it's just an "audio" transformer then it's probably 1:1. That coil will be much easier to replace if you can find one.
hhmmmmm...... time is what im really short on right now.. anyone think they could fix it? would pay well to be able to use this thing again. i dounno... i guess if there are no takers i will have to pull it apart and try myself. just dont like not being able to start and finish. i hate coming back and working on something like this.
