That was awesome! I have never before seen an r/c that flip itself back onto it's wheels.
I'm curious. Obviously the arch shape of the bug body helps. Have you taped your tires, or do you think that tire ballooning aids in the r/c righting itself?

It's "Dr. _paralyzed_" actually. Not like with a PhD, but Doctor like in Dr. Pepper.
The rounded bug body definitely makes it easier to flip the truck over but I can do it with other bodies also. Even on 4s I can get the truck back up on it's feet. The tires are not taped.... I'm sure the ballooning tires helps but I Would bet it would still flip back up with taped tires.
I don't know if you can tell from these pics but the tires actually protrude out further than the front bumper. This also helps when you rock the truck when upside down. They bite into the ground real easy cause they stick out so far.
I'd have thought doing this would've stripped some diff gears by now but I am yet to have any front diff failure! And I've done this countless times.
Broke nothin major and I run my 2 trucks at least 3 to 5 days a week. The stock hinge pins break easily so I've been replacing them one by one with stronger ones as they break. Cracked 2 arms, but not comPlete breaks, made aluminum splints for them(even though I have spares on hand).
One rear diff got a lil crunchy a few weeks ago but I shimmed it tighter and it's still good!! I have 4 diff gear rebuild sets on hand but I like to see how long things can last.
I broke one toe in plastic block and replaced with optional aluminum one from thunder tiger.
This truck is extremely durable...... Every time I run it I am amazed at some of the hits it takes and keeps goin!!I did make my own chassis brace which I'm sure has saved the chassis and shock towers from damage.
I'm not nervous at all about breaking things on this truck because parts are cheap and the truck is extremely simple to work on.

Oh I have about 5 different bodies I run on these trucks. I like to switchem around often... A few of them are pretty beat up. Tires are holding up great besides a few rips after running into sharp objects... I was able to repair them.
