Mini Truggy - 07.31.2010, 01:21 PM

Well kind of, not the real one...
I installed Monster Badlands tires on my brushless XRAY 808 and got myself a nice mini Truggy.
The results surprised me, it handle very well on the track and can take the big jumps more easily due to the big tires. It also much more stable since its wider now. The run time is still better then my XT8 Truggy since its lighter.

Here is a short video of my 808 "Mini Truggy" with all the other nitro's on our local track:

I am surprised the badlands did so well on the track.

Sweet track layout. If I had a nice track w/in a 50 mile range like that, I would never be home!

i never liked the idea of getting a buggy for myself... but i have seen ow much of a beating they can take and after seeing how well they perform with some truggy or lpr sized rims and tyres, i am very tempted to go this route...

Nice looking bugggy!

Bearing looks good, just need to follow xray tech tip and grease the pinion bearings every 3 hours on the track.

Don't you have waaay too much downforce? You nose is going up while in the air... Or is it from throttling?

I just put the throttle at 100% while at air just for fun.

Real cool and interesting... thanks for the vid to see that set-up running.

Cool track (I like that drift wooden corner), and music too.

Funny how people are reinventing how truggies were born 5 yers after! The original truggies were buggies with MT wheels and hex extenders.
