cell balancer for orion lipo?

cell balancer for orion lipo? - 04.16.2006, 03:07 PM

any body knows what cell balancer can i get from my team orion lipos?it has only 1 small round port at the bottom thanks guys

It won't work. For balancing, you need a tab on each cell individually, and as far as i know, the orions don't have this.

I think the port on the bottom of the case allows access to the middle cell of the pack. If you combine that with the two power leads, you can balance the pack. At this stage, you may have to rig something up yourself, unless there is a balancing kit fo this battery that I'm not aware of (which is very possible).

Grab a multimeter and see if that is a tab! you can use any decent balancer then.

the orion charger has the feature, in the caraction magazine has a whole article about the batts and charger, i think it had something to do with run time only after many many use of the batt, dont qoute me though
