losi 8 1.0 conversion. do i need the whole kit

losi 8 1.0 conversion. do i need the whole kit - 11.16.2010, 01:59 PM

i just bought a losi 8 1.0 and wondering if i can use the original chassis and if not what kit should i buy? i notice that i have to flip the center dif so motor can reach it .

You can go three routes..Mikes conversion which uses the original chassis, Tekno's kit which replaces the chassis, then Losi, Castle and I believe a couple others sell kits for them.


Losi 8T 1.0, Savage Flux - XL style, LST XXL, Muggy, 3.3 E-Revo Conversion and sitting outside 425hp, 831 Tq Dodge Ram Turbo Diesel. It SMOKES

With mike conversion all I need is the motor mount right? How does it work when the center dif needs to be flipped but the mount doesn't look like the whole is wide enough to do that

You'll need a battery tray also. Do yourself a big favor, and go spend some time reading in the Truggy section. Lots of 8T conversions in there. You'll answer your own questions in no time, and get some additional ideas.
