Looking for a new project - 10.20.2010, 05:10 PM

I'm in the market for a new project vehicle. Right now I have a brushless Stampede, brushless RC10GT and a E-Maxx roller. I'm looking to get rid of the Stampede and E-Maxx.

I'm looking for a 1/10th or 1/8th scale or just something that is similar size to the RC10GT. 4wd and fairly light. I'm going to run a brushless setup in the new vehicle on a set of lipo's.

This will be a basher for me since there are no real tracks close by. I'm looking for long runtime and medium power.

I'm looking to spend $150-200 on the main vehicle purchase them buy all of the electronics after that.

Does anyone have any suggestions or recommendations?

I'm looking for either a truggy or buggy. Something that is very durable that won't need a lot of suspention upgrades right away.

Thanks for the help,
Nick

I agree here. There are a few threads on this particular vehicle as well.

Otherwise, look to rctech.net For sale section. Lots of buggy/truggy rollers for sale.

If you're looking for 4wd and lighter than a 1/8 buggy, theres the HPI mt and mt2. They can be run on a less powerful setup, but are not as durable as a 1/8 buggy/truggy. PM me, I have an older ofna 1/8 buggy roller already converted (spare mmm2200 combo as well) and might be interested in some sort of trade for the EMaxx

That Ofna truggy looks real nice, just the size I'm looking for too.

This might be a good option. Does anyone own one yet?

That truck looks great. I've actually been modifying my RC10GT lately and I should have new pictures up this weekend. I have the newer style RC10GT wtih the blue aluminum chassis. I'm running a Figeao S series motor and CC Mamba Max. I just installed a battery from RCM and made my own ESC/ Receiver mount.

Here it is with the old Battery box setup, along with the old ESC and Receiver mount.

I also just picked up a CRT.5 roller with RCM extended chassis.

Nick
