CRT .5 , VXL on 3s ok? - 01.03.2011, 09:04 AM

Hello, im stepping back into RC for a bit, just bought a .5 (waiting on its delivery) I was hoping to use the VXL stuff with a 3s? is this sufficient to get it moving along?

I see people putting rustler/jato wheels on and they look in proportion so im guessing its about the same size/weight?

Should be fine but you need to be careful with the 1/8th shaft...

Jat/Rustler 2.8" wheels look and work fine if you have the extended RC-Monster chassis. If not they look oversized for car.

right ok, didnt want it to be underpowered.

Yes it has the long rcm chassis conversion and all the jammin alloy parts, i'll see what it weighs when it arrives.

That hadnt occured to me the shaft is 1/8th! i'll turn a 1/8th to 5mm adapter so I can get my mod 1 pinions on it.

A VXL will be fine. I would suggest getting a fan for the ESC if your going to be running a 3s though.
