Why why why is my steering dead?

-MMM 2200 kv
-4s
-hobby king 2.4 ghz radio
-savox SV-1270TG. 35kg. High Voltage servo.

I have bind my radio whit the receiver,the servo center him self when I start up the mmm, I can drive the truck forwards and backwards. But I cannot steer the truck, the servo is dead, or just don't respond.

What to do? Is it the servo that needs higher voltage?
Please help me.

Maybe you have a dead channel on your radio? Try plugging the servo into ch2 slot and see if the throttle trigger will move the servo? If it works, go back to channel 1 and try the wheel. You may also have to adjust the dual rate on that radio, as I remember there being some problems with that.

I have tried the servo in ch2, I can move it but it's not good, very slow.

Sounds like a bad servo, do you have another servo of any type to test the radio?

Unless the servo is not designed to run off 5v. That is what the MMM internal bec puts out. If it has to have 6v or more that may be the cause. I would try a std servo and see if it works.

I think you'll need an external BEC to power the servo properly, it really needs a full 6-7.4v to function correctly, the MMM may be struggling with the power-hungry servo..

You would need something like the Castle BECpro, then adjust it via the castlelink to output 7.4v- there are wiring diagrams for it on the castle website ( since it uses higher voltage than the rx can handle, the wiring is a bit more complicated ). I have a similar savox servo but it is only a regular 6v version ( ~270in/oz of torque @ 6v ), so I dont need to run an external BEC to power it properly.

I wouldn't think the BEC Pro is really needed, regular Castle BEC should do the trick.

most HV servos cannot run below 6v, and the Mamba Monster outputs 5.5v. as Neil said, you need an external BEC for the servo.

the 7955 is not an HV servo (although it can be overvolted at your own risk, I run mine at 6.5v). you linked the Savox servo, which is an HV servo, and it lists its specs only at 6.0v and 7.4v. You need an external BEC to output 6.0v or higher for the Savox HV servo.

Hmm i tried with my other radio and the servo works. I think it's little slow but it's work.
Will this work or is it just when the lipos are new loaded?
Is bec or a new servo my only optins?
