They say a good mechanic only needs 2 tools - WD40 & Duct tape. If it moves, and its not supposed to, duct tape. If it doesn't move, and its supposed to, WD40.

Let the games begin. - 12.24.2010, 07:56 PM

Let the games begin. Well it is 0900 here in Korea, and the kids are slowly waking up. Our youngest(11) has already been knocking on our bedroom door trying to get us up, but the other two are still lounging around in their rooms. We had a huge gathering here at our house last night. We had visitors from Florida, California, Virginia, Jakarta, Japan, Bagdad, & of course Korea. We had a great time and everyone left feeling fat. Now its time for the kiddies to open presents, because it is Christmas morning here in Seoul.

Well our 3 kids were up at 5.40am this morning and were allowed to open and play with whatever Santa left in the stockings. Other presents were only to be opened after everyone was up and had breaky. General chaos followed as they all wanted to play with everything almost at once.
We had a late night at Grandma's house who as usual was very late with dinner - planned for 6pm but got the food at 8pm!!! Then it was pudding, a drive home and the kids were not in bed untill 11pm and are all getting tired now and it is only 11am.

Long day ahead and I am hoping all will have a nap later - including the wife or else it will be a cranky arvo. Raining as well so stuck inside.

I hope you all enjoy the day as it unfolds around the world.

PS I got a rotary tool with about 100 accessories in a kit. Not Dremel but good all the same and cheaper so I can have a few more beers later too.

We got the best Christmas present this year. After 2 months in the NICU, our newborn came home.

Best of all - 12.25.2010, 02:58 AM

Well Snel you got the best of all then. Having a new born come home on Christmas is a real treat for everyone. Congrats to you and your family.

We heard the younget knocking on our door about 0800 this morning, but laid quietly for another hour before we got up. By 0930 everyone was up and we started opening presents one by one so everyone could watch and enjoy each present. The kids are thrilled, and we of course have our new T&C minivan so all is good. We went to mass at 1130, then to lunch, followed by a movie (TRON). Now we are settled in for some rest and relaxation at home 4pm here in Korea.

We had a great day and we hope that all of you have the same sort of feeling all over the world. Merry Christmas everyone.
