Muggy owners?? - 01.08.2011, 10:05 PM

Hey guys can you give me a hand with my set-up? I'm not sure if I need to use thicker oil in the front or center diff or ??

When I gun it from a dead stop this happens:

1. The front end comes up about 6-7 inches.
2. The front wheels balloon like a top fuel dragster.
3. The front comes down and the wheels squeal like a plane landing.
Then it takes off.

I've watched a few videos and most Muggys either pop a wheelie or just take off. At this rate my front wheels should last about 2 more runs.

My current set-up:
CC 1518
MMM
30C 4s Lipo (soon 5s)
14T pinion / stock spur
stock wheels

I bought the truck nitro RTR from someone else so I'm not sure what he had for oil.

Can you recommend some starting weights? I think I have 1000/3000/5000 on my shelf. Maybe 7000 too.

Thanks!

I run 10k-100k-10k in my Muggy with gorilla-taped badlands. No problems.

Guess I'll be buying some diff oil! I'm used to my Kyosho buggy but this beast is a little different.

100K I would think that's as good as a no diff at all. Interesting.

Thanks a lot guys. I look forward to the difference.

It also depends if you are running brushless or not. In my brushless I run 30-100-25. in my nitro I run 25-50-20. My brushless has 17mm wheels though.
