Definetly different. Sorta a Slash 4x4 with the gearshaft replaced with a belt. But with the front clicker gizmo.

I'm not sure yet if I like it or not.
Belt drive? No CD? I don't know...
But all metric hardware and bearings, and 12mm hexes. That's great!

One question though:
How are we supposed to change the battery within a reasonable amount of time?

They also severly limited battery and motor choices (compared to other trucks) because of the layout. The belt drive is off center directly over the battery limiting its height and it looks like a chore to change it out. And with the motor mounted east/west and down inside the chassis, long motors are out. Of course this is probably fine for the indoor ROAR crowd because of the rules, and thats also probably the main market for the truck anyway. Maybe losi will be different and finally make a factory 810/10T based SC.

The suspension looks nice, beefy arms for a 1/10th AE product. I like the shocks too.

personaly i like the front oneway setup, reminds me of the old losi street weapon and for thouse that dont rember losi had afew belt drive offroad buggys that are still fast by todays standards.

personaly im going to buy one, i may wait for a factory team version,i dont care that the motor size is limited to 550's or that running more than 2cell may be a problem, this truck looks like it is made to race and i think its going to be the truck to have at the track, it may not say bling like the durango corr truck but its also $150 cheeper

I've been kicking around the idea of getting a 4x4 SC for awhile now, think this will be it. I'm really glad they used metric hardware, seems like an insignificant detail to some, but I have quite a bit invested in metric tools and spare hardware (just got a $60 order from Bolt Depot, along with a bunch I already had), and don't want to have to start all over with standard. Big-bore shocks look nice too, I like the "accordian" dust boots.

I agree Semi Pro, I'll probably hold out for a FT version too. Throw in a Castle SC system and call it a day!

i wonder why they seemed to limit the motor size to 540? maybe to help preserve the belt system and try to limit the torque maybe?

looks like a winner for sure but i'm with everyone else...i'll probably get the factory team version ater it wins some races. :)

I went on the AE website and there it says it can fit "most" 540 or 550.

I seen the 550 comment too. Not sure if that will leave room for a 1415 1Y in the MMPro SC combo but I'm pretty sure the 1410 1Y will push this lightweight without a problem

this is rc monster we make room

as for belts holding up to power, belts are fine and if they do fail im sure alot of companys will make better aftermarket belts too, just by lookingf at the size of the belt its easly as thick as my serpent belts that hold up to a 1512 on 6cell with out trouble

I'm sure there will be a way to cram it in there, I know someone here will probably even try putting a 1518, 1520, or 1717 in it. However I think that with the 1410 it will still be plenty of power and be worthy of wearing a RC-Monster sticker on the shell. 2wd or 4wd it doesn't matter, you can only put so much power to the ground with SC tires, even good pin tires will only hook up so much in dirt with such a light truck. Not trying to doubt you or the rest of the monster crowd, just stating what I have figured out from experience
