Tekno Revo - 04.06.2011, 05:32 PM

I am trading for a Revo Platinum roller with a tekno conversion.. I was trying to use parts that I had and wondered if this would work.. I have a spare 2650 and a Mamba Max, running it on 3s do you think it would over work the ESC? It's not going to be blazing fast but should be fun to drive.. I was going to get the GF drive it and keep her away from my MBC6 and MBX6T

If the ESC will arm with 4s, use that, use an external BEC, and gear down for ~30mph and it should be ok. Maybe add some punch control on the ESC to help tame the burst currents too.

That started out as a nitro? Wow the only thing that keeps me from going this route is the cost. As I look around I see that it cost more to change it over then it would cost for a really good nitro motor..

Yes definitely more expensive your better off selling the nitro revo and put that money towards the brushless version. I just got tired of my truck stalling and messy now it's plug and play way faster than nitro lol see ya! I don't see u in my rear view gone lol!!
