Making 2s packs out of 3s packs - 02.22.2012, 12:47 AM

I have 4 5800mah 30c 3s packs I want to make 6 2s packs out of. My question is about the pcb board they have that connects all the cells. Is a pcb really necessary to make the 2s packs or can I just solder the tabs to each other and use tape to insulate where needed?

Any other tips for doing this would be appreciated as well. I know I have to be very careful not too short anything

thanks!

I soldered the tabs together. No pcb needed. I put tape over the tabs that won't be soldered, in case of a mishap.
