Neu motors and gearbox? - 07.06.2011, 10:59 PM

It been awhile since I last posted and was starting to get back into rc's and had a few questions. I plan on building a RC8T and was going togo with a neu 1515 1y motor again since I fell in love with my last one. I was on castles website and I see that they offer them with three different gearbox combos, So my question is......are they a nice thing to have or even necessary for a truggy? and would gearing be different?

You don't want a gearbox - they are for airplanes.

the only land rc application i would ever use a motor gearbox would be a MT with a center diff that would otherwise need a 9t pinion or be geared too high.

They say a good mechanic only needs 2 tools - WD40 & Duct tape. If it moves, and its not supposed to, duct tape. If it doesn't move, and its supposed to, WD40.
