Traxxas Jato Line Drawing + others. - 01.01.2012, 12:32 AM

So its kind of RC related, kind of not really at all.

I was bored years ago, and I like to play with photoshop/illustrator/etc. So I got it into my head I wanted to make some Vector/line art. And started drawing stuff based on pics I had seen. These aren't true traces, but vector line drawings. The nice thing about it being vector is that I can "draw" them and then adjust them till they look "right". Somtimes "right" as in exactly as the original pic doesn't look right in a line drawing.

So The first one I did was a Traxxas Jato. I got up to the point of filling in the background, and once I did that i realised I liked the picture alot better with the soft colored background but just colored lines for the jato itself.

I also have done other cars, some of these are incomplete due to lazyness. I did most of these back in 2007/2008, but then lost interest. Every once in a while I look at them and think "I should finish that" but when I sit down I get like 10% done of whats left and lose interest. Perhaps one day I will finish them. Or maybe I'll just start new ones......

Nice job!

I like vector graphics because 1) they scale perfectly, and 2) pictures are made up of shapes which are represented by mathematical "formulas", and that's just cool.
