Charger and battery set up

Hi I bought this charger and Lipos included with another car I wanted and would like to use the batteries in my ERBE however my current Lipo charger is different and I have no idea how to connect them Any help would be appreciated and I can give more pictures if needed, thanks in advanced

Thats an old school charger before they all came with a ballancer built in, and you need 2 batteries to run in a brushless revo. Maybe you could sell all that stuff and use the money for something else you need?

I do have another battery I just didn't picture it, I also have a pro peak Sigma II EQ Lipo charger but I didn't know how to wire them up to that either and seeing as the previous owner had them wired up in this configuration I wanted to keep it the same really...

Oh dear, oh dear...

Well, the wiring should be easy enough, but in all honesty the charger & balancer are so old I'd just sell it or use it as a nimh-only item; decent lipo chargers with built in balancers only cost £40-50 at UK prices, less if you go via hobbyking or ebay.

As for that piece of shit old(er) maxamps lipo, I wouldn't trust it in anything more demanding than a brushed stampede or rustler sized vehicle.

Seems like to wire that lipo up, you can only charge it through the balancer without having the main power leads connected; just run the deans lead to the charger via the front sockets/clippy things, then plug the balancer into the deans, then the lipo's balancer plug ( little white one ) goes to the other side of the balancer. Then set the charger for 2s lipo and no more than 3amps charge rate ( to avoid cooking the little wires on the balancer input & output ).

But yeah, it's an old setup and poor battery, you can sell them both quite easily though to some other unwary newb....

you could probably sell those Maxamp lipos on ebay and they would sell for quite a bit, because...well people are stupid lol. Im betting they would go for well over 100 bucks

I didn't buy these on their own they came with some other stuff that went at a good price so I don't really care if they're sh*te

You'll definitely be able to sell everything on though, just check the voltages on the lipos to make sure they are in good health.

Your Sigma II EQ Lipo charger is much more modern though- you don't need to do any special wiring to charge your lipos on that; just plug the main power leads into the main power leads coming from the charger ( red & black, may need charger leads with a male traxxas connector like so: Clicky ), then plug the white balancer connector into the balancer board that is connected to the charger; seems like the previous owner chose the awful Polyquest style balancer connector so you'd need a PQ balancer board for your charger in order to connect up the minamps lipo for the time being ( most lipos these days use the generic JST-XH balancer connector that comes as standard with most chargers too ).

Ah that makes sense now, I wondered why it wouldn't fit in the balancing ports I think I'll just sell everything because I already have reedy lipos for my ERBE and I run them in my tc too Thanks for your help
