HELP! DM-1 Conversion. -
03.05.2012, 04:53 AM
Hey folks..
I'm really keen to the idea of converting an existing DM-1 RTR to brushless..
Having looked into it, I find that a tekno kit WAS available to do just that.. but it seems to have been discontinued.
What are the best options out the for me at this point.. I'd like to keep THIS car and NOT replace it with a GTPe..
Anyone out there that can help?

Sure. Here is a motor mount and servo tray to go from 2 to 1 servos:

And once you decide what battery you will use, you can check the dimensions and Mike here at rc-monster will make you a custom battery tray.
Is it a 2 speed? Ofna makes a 51 tooth single speed spool, or ultra center diffs fit if you want diff action.
Did I miss anything?

The chassis seems narrow for carrying batteries...
It is a 2 speed. Is there a way to keep it a 2 speed?
My whole purpose is just speed runs.

The battery tray could overhang the edge some.
There are 2 speed adapters and pinions available in the rc-monster store.
