When I charge our lawn mower batteries at work...especially after they have been sitting all winter and need a boost before spring I always slow charge them at either 1 or 2 amps. Since I have done this the past 4 yrs., no dead batts all yr on my machine...that is until the summer kids leave the ignition on once in a while on their machines.... hope this helps.

I think I left the ignition on... punted and put it on at 4 amps and left for office. Hopefully no fire by the time I get home tonight and the hyperion will take care of everything. LOL

How many Ah is it? What type of Pb batt is it... Gell cell, AGM, regular sealed Pb, etc?

haha

I just noticed it's a lawn mower 'TRACTOR' battery, not an electric lawn mower battery. Well I would say it's fine charging it 20amps, or if you want it to charge at a CC all the way to CV, then 18amps would be right for the 720i, if it's the older NET.

4 amps is good. I have a powered wheel chair charger meant for charging 24v (2 12v in series) and its a 4 amp charger. The batteries are 35AH.
