New VBS Chassis & 16mm Racer-X...LQQK!!! -
03.07.2012, 10:48 PM
I traded a few things to get this new chassis & suspension, and I think it looks pretty good! Everything is powder-coated cream (white) & black, with a Ti-Ni spur-gear which matches perfectly! I am going to run Ti-Ni hingepins and have the Ti UE CVDs plated in Ti-Ni along with a few other things, so it should look awesome! Plus, I am going to use as much carbon-fiber as I can to match the CF already on the chassis. I am not sure what color I am going to do the VBS in, so, please give me your thoughts! Anyway, here are a few pictures...
... What is the name of this Chassis, and who made it?
What do you think?
-Chad

Very nice! That is an Emaxxler chassis. I believe that there are only two or three. No more than four.
You really don't know the name of it? and you own it?

Oh, and this chassis is the very same chassis that plettenberg had...the one that was used as a prototype for his version! :)

That is pretty funny that you cannot even remember the name of the chassis and there is a bunch of guys who have been waiting for one of these for years and years now. Then you end up with one of them.....Good score for you!
Do the VBS Black with White support parts. That would look great!

A rare thing indeed, you'll have fun just staring at it, let alone building & driving it

That is what is so nice about building custom trucks is they look just as good sitting still as they do moving out! This truck here Chad is very nice and you should be proud to own such a rig with it being pretty rare and sought after.
I know a lot of people were counting on them coming out but nothing ever happened with it so it looks like you are one of the lucky ones man! I thought for sure some UE members were going to be honored and would of had the opportunity to own one but I was wrong I guess.
You should play the lottery....haha..... I hope you keep us updated with the build, I look forward to following the thread. Especially the Ti-Ni parts being done! What color on those are you going with?

Why would they not make more of these trucks, really awesome rigs. They could make a ton of cash.

Sweet, sweet...heh! You did an awesome job, I really like it!
Yea, I do feel extremely proud and lucky to have gotten this chassis, and it has already risen to the top of my priority list! I can remember years ago seeing it when plett built it, and I wanted it sooo bad, and now I have it! I know it seems crazy that I forgot the name of it, especially since bosox and I sent more than 100 text messages back and forth between each other (I got my UE Widetrack Knuckles from him as well), and talked on the phone many times, but I have so much going on in my life right now (my dad & aunt are both in the hospital, my dad here in Alabama & my aunt in Washington State, so I am in the air flying between states a lot recently and it takes its toll on a human being...plus my own health problems) that my brain is fried! I know one thing, if my health ever gets so bad that I can't do anything with my Supermaxxes & Parts, I am going to give them away to all of you guys (No wishing me bad health, heh)!
Anyway, I am having the most trouble deciding between black VBS-T and white Knuckleheads or all-black VBS for this chassis...what do you guys think?
I want to build this truck with as many uber-rare parts as possible, since the chassis itself is uber-rare (just 1 I believe), so if you have some of those parts, I will probably be contacting you ( sweet, I need those OG Thin High-Impacts :) , heh)!
Ok, imma shut up now, but please feel free to drop some ideas & hints or anything else you may want to say...all will be greatly appreciated!!!!
-Chad
