See if the Easystarter says if the plug is bad, roll over the flywheel to see if it has pinch, prime the motor, clean the airfilter, make sure the glow plug heater wire is connected (if using Easystart). These are pretty common problems...

thanks guys. really appreciate it. it all helped, but now only runs at a high idle, but it looks like the linkage is the problem, when i hit the brakes, it wants to die, but i noticed that when the brakes are applied, it moves the throttle and closes and kills the motor...how would i adjust it properly? thanks!

Sounds like the idle screw in to far or The idle mixture is not set right. You can adjust the position of the trigger center on controller to fix the idle hi problem.

I have tried, but when i adjust the screw to give 1 mm gap, and then play with the throttle setting on the transmitter, i still have the braking problem...meaning when i brake, it stalls due to too low of an idle, so i have to run it at a high idle. Any suggestions on redoing the linkage so when i hit the brakes, it doesn't cut the motor?
thanks coolhand, sorry, new to nitro and i'm sure it doesn't help that the motor was probably beat on a little from the guy i got it from....working on rebuilding it. i have a 3.3 on the way, but can't find a clutch set up for it and am not sure about the gearing to use....

If you want a higher idle screw the screw in for a bigger than 1mm gap. If the mixture is to rich or to lean it won't work with the 1mm gap. It is easy to show but hard to explain.

If you can't get it right with the center adjust ment on controller may have to move the servo horn on the servo a notch.
