Deciding on what Truggy, lots of questions. - 07.19.2013, 10:23 PM

Hey guys, the time has come to were I can afford a new Truggy

I have researched a bit on the differences on Truggys this summer and am leaning towards the RC8T, DEN408T, or D8T. Keep in mind I am a basher and will probably never go very competitive at the track. Also, I already have a MMM2/2200kv system, servo, and radio system I will be installing on it.

Here are my thoughts comparing them:

D8T: Very cheap and will allow extra cash to spend on other things. I'm assuming parts would be the easiest to find for this one?
RC8T: Seems very nice, but I am concerned about the 3mm chassis getting bent easier than the others. It does come with tires and many nice parts witch I really like (7-series aluminum too), plus I've heard many good things about them in the past for others.
DEN408T: No extra money needed to convert it. It seems like a nice truck but I have heard about them "falling apart" on the track. Also, is there any clearance issues between the batteries and motor shaft? How thick is the chassis?

If I go for the D8T or RC8T, I would only be buying the motor mount and making everything else (battery tray, ect) myself to save money.

Being new to all these companies, what are some good aftermarket companies/part for them? In particular, I would like a more truck-looking body to run instead of the funky down force racing bodies they come with but i have no idea who makes any of them.

My only local hobbies shop is Hobbytown USA, do you guys know if they normally keep parts in stock for each of these or if their is one that they can not get part for? I'll be calling them if not.

Thanks a lot for the input guys!
-Steven

AHH!!! I can't edit the post! lol
Anyway, I am shopping on Towerhobbies since I can get a huge discount, so the RC8T is the championship edition.
