MM2 field link help please

I've used the castle link to my pc for different castle ESCs (MMM and MMP)for years now. Just recently got rid of my PC and got a MAC....so I had to pick up a field link.

I can't get it to work! I plug it in and all the lights on the field link blink like crazy. There is no control with the button. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?
I suspect the link is faulty because I went over the instructions multiple times.
