Odds of a fire? - 11.29.2015, 07:47 PM

Five years ago or more we built an electric HPI 5B flux with a Mamba XL. Only ran it a couple times. It's been sitting and I'm tempted to run it again. I know there's been a recall on the XL. One reason I didn't send this one in was the very long turn around times reported online. Should I send this one in? What are the chances it will go up in smoke?

Castle is pretty quick, not like MGM anyway. Just send it in, no sense in frying your stuff.

Definitely send in in for replacement. Take advantage of the recall and let us get it replaced with a brand new Mamba XL 2.

Our turn around time has improved by leaps and bounds since the recall. Last month 95% of repair orders were turned around within 48 hours of receiving them.

Maybe wait some more time until the XL X is out, if you're lucky, they'll replace it with that one. :)
