first off, lemme say "hi" to everyone in the forums. i've been lurking for awhile now. sorry for the bad spelling and missed capital letters, i'm typing with one hand. busted my right hand up at work this friday.

now, back to the matter at hand. i'm looking at going brushless in my emaxx. i have the typical integy alum. bulkheads, big bore shocks, pro line mashers, integy bell crank, and alum. upper a arms. i've read alot, but i'm just not sure on everything yet. here is my list so far of what to get for bl....

warrior 9920
7 cells per tray, 4200's
mip cvd
upgraded wheel hexes/alum. wheels
upgraded tranny (steel idlers)
upgraded difs (al. diffs)
motor clamp
strobe slipper clutch

anything else? i'm going to run 12-14 cells. i'm looking for super power and much higher speed. run time not an issue. any advice on gear ratios? was thinking 16/70, but is that too high? is there any small parts i'm forgetting?

i havent ran emaxxes that long. i'm mainly a rc truck puller. i'm not real impressed with my emaxx performance, and it needs help if im gonna stay interested in it. i'm used to gobs of power and to me it feels like a radio shack truck in performance.

WEll if you going to buy the aluminum diffs and stuff.
You may consider the upgrade to a 1/8 buggy diff and flm hybirds.
They are alot stronger than stock type.
You can get the ue cvds with the steel hex so you don't have to worry about getting the aluminum hex. If you go to a strobe slipper with the mod 1 pinions and spur. Teh ratio 16/51 sounds pretty good to start.

I agree. But i would dump the integy bulks and go with hybrids/1/8 diffs. If you are running 1/8 diffs and a little more speed, go 18/51. My controller and motor run great on that. Good temps. Unless you want more torque, 16/51, but for me, that was too much. couldn't keep the front end down.

That gear ration would be WAY to high for a 7XL. Between 14/51 and 16/51 (with 1/8th scale diffs) is about right. Just depends on what you want, speed or torque.

are you looking for torque or speed? Sorry for the late response. After reading your post again I see my question was pretty stupid. I wish That my hand was only busted up. I too am typing with one hand and half a brain. Who knew 34 wasn't to young for a stroke?

ouch, and I turn 33 this year....I better visit the doc and have the old ticker checked out.......I guess your never to old for that to happen to. If you gear it like squee says, yes you might have a hard time keeping the nose down, you just need to learn a little throttle control ( easy on it) and you can learn to keep it down.
