mamba max 7700

what do you guys think of a mamba max 7700. Thinking of putting this setup in my rustler just seeing what you guys think about this combo does anyone run this setup and if so what do think is it very reliable.

I have one but I don't have much wheel time. It's impressive... I raced with it in my T4 with the software settings "soft" and I have run it in my XX4 too.

Just like running a 9X2 but no comm to cut. :D

what kind of speed do think you could get out of and what are you running for power nimh, lipos.

Welcome! You get better everything with LIPO, but it also depends on what you're running it in.

If you get a 2S of the trackpower cells from flightpower, they deliver 7V @ 100A current, and they can deliver 1500 watts in peakpower..

The power comes from the batteries.

im having trouble grasping the whole lipo concept the 4s 2s 3s not sure how it relates to nimh batteries whitch is what im used to my you guys can help shine some light on the subject. THANKS

A nimh cell it's tipical voltage is 1.2V per cell, while lipo is 3.7V per cell.

So 16 NImh's are 19.2V and 5S lipo is 18.5V. Good lipo's hold their voltage higher on higher loads than nimh's

You're refferring to the 1/8th scale, right?
4s would do wonders in a 1/10 2wd buggy.

I have never tried 4s on my MM 4600 Jato (not really a "buggy" though), but on 2s, I get 47mph.

4S in a 1/10th is a huge overkill (as in useless power) 3000 watts.. Go figure.. :p

Yeah, I thought so.
I'm trying to figure out if flightpower can make me a 3s saddle pack.
If its possible, then I would easily buy myself a 4wd fancy electric buggy.
Either the Yokomo MR4-BX or Tamiya TRF501X would become my new brushless rig.

just check all their cells, if you can find the appropriate size, you can use a 3S2P of them.

4s would be ok as long as the motor kv was suitable. But not for the 4600 - and definitely not the 5700 or 7700. 4s on the 7700 would be almost 114,000 rpm! :dft002:

I still have the 1920/8 and the 1930/5 motors to use them with 3s-4s lipos.
The battery position of those two racers would only accept saddle packs.
MaxAmps has them, but I rather use ones from FlightPower.
They dont have saddle packs, BTW.
